On this week’s show, we’ll be talking with percussionist Evan Chapman who has taken his love for rock, indie, and pop music to an incredibly complex level in his percussion only YouTube covers of those songs. Evan also has a new album out, and we’ll get a chance to hear some of the tracks.
And Stanley Ritchie has been teaching baroque violin for more than 30 years. Now, the Indiana University Jacobs School professor has written a book for violinists to guide them through the mysteries of playing in the baroque style. Ritchie met with WFIUs’ Adam Schwartz to discuss his new book, Before the Chinrest.
