Episode 49 – Recommendations With Betsy Fippinger

On this week’s episode we play the Recommendation Game with our old friend Betsy Fippinger: we name a category and then try to name a movie in that category. It’s always good for a lively discussion covering a wide range of different movies.

We start out with What Have You Seen Lately. Jason talks about Hobo With a Shotgun. Andy discusses a few different movies, including classic comedy Some Like it Hot and the newest Final Destination movie, along with one of his personal favorites, Stanley Kubrick’s The Killing. Betsy brings up courtroom drama The Verdict.

We end up with a pretty diverse discussion this week across a wide range of movies, thanks to the Recommendation game.  Here are the categories we’re using this week, post your picks for these categories on our Facebook page, linked below:

  • A Comfort Movie
  • A Brad Pitt Movie that isn’t Fight Club
  • A Film About Journalism
  • A Movie About War, But With Very Few Or No Battle Scenes
  • A Movie with an Ongoing Apocalypse
  • A New Favorite Movie
