Local And International Artists Shine In Buskirk-Chumley Season

The Buskirk-Chumley Theatre's Marketing Director Maarten Bout explains the role of the BCT in the life of downtown Bloomington.

The 2009-2010 season at Bloomington’s Buskirk-Chumley Theater commenced in September with The Temptations and Hoosier Dylan.  The rest of the season continues the tradition of hosting the best of the international stage while putting local favorites in the spotlight.

The BCT‘s Marketing Director Maarten Bout explains the role of the theater in the life of downtown Bloomington, and he revealed how their staff painstakingly schedules the season to reflect the what is going on in the lives of their patrons.

David Wood

Originally from Leavenworth, Kansas, David Wood moved to Bloomington in 2005. He received his Bachelor of Music from Kansas State University, and his Master of Music from the University of North Texas. He studied ensemble direction at the Jacobs School of Music's Early Music Institute and joined WFIU in 2006 as an announcer. He is currently Music Director/Program Content Coordinator for the station. David’s interests include Irish music and language, music and religion, running, the outdoors and, of course, classical music!
