Summer Tea Powered By The Sun

You don't have to heat up the kitchen to enjoy a freshly brewed cup of tea. We're using the power of the summer sun for this recipe!

I grabbed a bunch of fresh herbs from the garden, whatever suited my fancy:

  • pineapple sage
  • lemongrass
  • lemon basil and white basil
  • fennel
  • chamomile, both the flowers and greens

Fill the jar to the brim with water. Add several lemon wedges and let the tea steep in the sun for a couple hours.

Cool it off in the fridge for another couple hours. If you can't wait, you can pour it over some ice cubes.

For sweet tea drinkers, add some simple syrup, agave nectar or honey.
