The Times Square Ball welcoming in the new year.

As 2017 comes to a close, we’re taking a look back at the top headlines of the year.

The inauguration of Donald Trump sparked controversies ranging from the so-called “travel ban” to the DACA repeal to the Russia investigation. The nation faced tragedy: the shooting in Las Vegas, events in Charlottesville, and Hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria.

Here in Indiana, we saw the effects of the opioid crisis on our communities. We had debates over cold beer and legalizing CBD oil. We saw the state halt a local annexation at the last minute. And we saw the murder of two Delphi teens make national news.

On this week’s Noon Edition, our panelists discussed the year’s biggest national and local stories.
