For a brief period of time, this composer devoted his efforts working with choral music. He accepted the post of Director of Court Concerts and Choral Society and served there for the next four years. A number of the composer's pieces written during this time are based on Baroque and Renaissance styles. One of these tunes first appeared in Etlich Christlich lider of 1523/24 and was one of only four tunes in the book. J. S. Bach included it in some of his cantatas, and set it as a chorale prelude in the Orgelbüchlein.
