"Know Your Farmer, Know Your Food" provides a wealth of agricultural and local food knowledge in one place.
From the farm to the table to the Internet, “Know Your Farmer, Know Your Food” connects consumers to their food sources in new ways.
The project — orchestrated by the USDA — provides consumers with an online and interactive research hub complete with videos, maps, blogs and case studies, all of which are intended to educate users about local food systems.
To promote the initiative the USDA even held a “Tweetup” with hashtag “#KYF2″ to promote the site’s launch.
