Earth Eats is partnering with WTIU Public Television’s children’s series The Friday Zone to empower kids to make healthy choices when choosing a snack. Food blogger and mom Heather Tallman prepares kid-friendly recipes with the help of Felix.

Hummus Scooptasticus

Ingredients

  • 1 can chickpeas, rinsed and drained
  • 1 clove garlic, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 3 whole wheat pitas, cut into triangles
  • Fresh veggies to dip

Cooking Directions

  1. Add first five ingredients to food processor. Pulse to combine.
  2. Scoop into a bowl and serve immediately or chill in the refrigerator.
