Psychologist Larry Barsalou

Larry Barsalou in pinstriped open-necked dress shirt and black suit jacket

This is what I really fell in love with. I didn’t realize it was even scientifically possible to figure out how the mind works.

Lawrence W. Barsalou is a psychologist and a cognitive scientist whose areas of study include appetitive behavior. His work addresses the nature of human knowledge and its roles in perception, memory, language, and thought. A theme of his research is that the human conceptual system is grounded in the brain’s modality-specific systems.
