Author of African American literature, John McCluskey Jr.

John McCluskey, Jr. teaches fiction writing and contemporary African-American literature at Indiana University. He is the author of two novels: "Look What They Done to My Song" and "Mr. America's Last Season Blues."

His short stories have appeared in a number of journals and collections, including Callaloo, Ploughshares, and "Best American Short Stories." He is the editor of "The City of Refuge: Collected Stories of Rudolph Fisher" and co-editor with Charles Johnson of "Black Men Speaking."
