Noon Edition airs on Fridays at noon on WFIU.

The Supreme Court’s term comes to a close this month with rulings on some major court cases to be decided.

Hot button issues covered in these cases will involve state court’s impact on election laws, gerrymandering, and voting rights.

Other hot button issues that will affect students in these cases discuss issues of affirmative action, determining whether to end considering race in the application process, and President Biden’s promise to relieve thousands of dollars of student debt.

Finally, other major issues covered in these cases include stricter immigration laws, whether to limit certain free speech rights, LGBTQ rights and anti-discrimination laws, and recognizing religious rights. A full list of court cases can be found here.

This Friday on Noon Edition, we will talk with law experts about these pending cases and the impacts these rulings could have.
