Black Lives Matter

asdasd

The police shootings of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile, followed by the killings of police officers in Dallas and Baton Rouge, have heightened an already tense national conversation about the relationship between minority groups and the police force.

The organization Black Lives Matter emerged in 2012 after the man who killed Trayvon Martin was acquitted. On its website the group says it is "working for a world where Black lives are no longer systematically and intentionally targeted for demise."

This week on Noon Edition we spoke to local experts and advocates about the Black Lives Matter movement.

Noon Edition airs every Friday at 12 p.m.
