Bloomington city leaders are looking for a team of planners to help develop the current IU Health Bloomington Hospital site.
The hospital is set to move to a new location off the 45-46 bypass on the northeast side of town in 2021.

Deputy Mayor Mick Renneisen says the city is starting early to allow plenty of community feedback on the project.
“Having the entirety of the year 2020 to master plan and get public input and then use our owner’s representative to reach out to potential developers," Renneisen says.

The Bloomington Redevelopment Commission issued a Request for Information for the 24-acre site that is currently zoned for medical use. The RFI was sent out earlier this month and packets are due back from prospective planners by Dec. 19.
