St. John Chrysostom Liturgy Recorded By Capella Romana

In 1995, leaders of the Orthodox Christian church in Greece and Great Britain began a project to translate the Divine Liturgy from ancient Greek to English.  Since then, many leaders of the Orthodox Church have collaborated to adapt this English translation to their traditional Byzantine chant. Capella Romana recorded an entire service of the Orthodox Church as one might hear it sung in a typical church on a typical Sunday.  Here are two selections from this service: the first is the alleluiarion sung right before the gospel; and after that, a cherubic hymn sung while the bread and wine are brought to the priest and deacon.
