Le Jardin Secret on the Coro Label

Auf Wiener Art: Music from the Habsburg Imperial Court

The award-winning ensemble Le Jardin Secret has so far released two notable recordings—both on the Coro label. The most recent explores baroque music from the Habsburg Imperial Court and includes composers such as Francesco Cavalli, Johann Heinrich Schmelzer, and Leopold I, among many others. The program is a wonderful mix of arias, laments, and instrumental pieces.

Musique pour Mazarin!

Le Jardin Secret’s first recording was entirely devoted to 17th-century French and Italian baroque music connected to the court and, in particular, Cardinal Mazarin. The lively and varied program offers a vivid portrait of a rich musical culture filled with song and dance.
