Gaga For Gregorian Chant

After a intensive search of seventy convents throughout Europe, the United States and Africa, the French Benedictine nuns of Our Lady of the Annunciation Abbey have been selected by Decca Records (of Universal Music) for a soon-to-be-released recording of Gregorian Chant.

Decca will be familiar to many as the home label of Lady Gaga.

This isn't the company's first chant project, however, as it hopes to repeat the wildly successful 2008 release "Chant: Music for Paradise," which featured the Cistercian Monks of Heiligenkreuz Abbey and sold over a million copies.

Set for a November release, the nuns' recording will have equally catchy title: "Voice: Chant from Avignon."
