George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic

Parliament Funkadelic

Recording both as Parliament and Funkadelic, George Clinton revolutionized R&B during the 1970s, fusing soul music into funk by adding influences from artists like Jimi Hendrix, Frank Zappa, and Sly Stone. The Parliament/Funkadelic machine caught fire during the ’70s, capturing over 40 R&B hit singles (including three number ones) and recording three platinum albums. Today, Clinton is considered as one of the foremost innovators of funk music. Known for their electrifying performances, wild costumes, and boundary-pushing sound, P-Funk continues to inspire generations of artists and fans.

Be part of an unforgettable night of cosmic funk when Parliament Funkadelic takes the stage at the iconic Egyptian Room at Old National Centre on May 21, 2025. For a membership contribution of $180 or an ongoing monthly contribution of $15 as a WTIU sustainer, you will receive two tickets to witness a night of magical funkadelia!
