An Evening with Neil deGrasse Tyson at the Murat Theatre

Join America’s foremost science educator, Hayden Planetarium director, and all-around nerd legend at the Murat Theatre when he presents An Evening with Neil deGrasse Tyson: An Astrophysicist Goes to the Movies, Part III on May 7, 2025. In an all-new science showcase, deGrasse Tyson will delve into such films as The Matrix, The Terminator, Back to the Future, Finding Nemo, and the The Davinci Code as well as the hit television series Game of Thrones to present an entertaining and enlightening review of all the science that our favorite movies got wrong, along with some of the things they got right. 

Dr. Neil deGrasse Tyson has authored 20 books and has received numerous honorary degrees and awards, including the NASA Distinguished Public Service Medal, the Douglas S. Morrow Public Outreach Award, the Stephen Hawking Medal for Science Communication, and a Grammy Award nomination for Best Spoken Word Album for “Astrophysics for People in a Hurry.”
