If you’re a regular Earth Eats listener, you might remember Sazon, it’s a family-run taco stand that sells at the Farmers' Market here in Bloomington. We aired our profile of them a few weeks ago.

The owners are Maria Ucan and Jesus Barajas. They run the business, with some help from their son and now, a few employees. They’re scaling up, and we’re always curious about what it takes to make a food business work, so we decided to check back in with them.

In July they moved into a storefront in downtown Bloomington. Jesus says the new place is something between a taco stand and a restaurant. They have a full menu, and plenty of seating, but they are still preparing the food at One World Kitchenshare, as they have been for their stands at the Farmers' Markets, and for their catering jobs. Their current location doesn't have a full kitchen, but it has what they need to serve all of their dishes, and it made the move to a brick and mortar shop much more affordable.

They still sell at the Farmers' Market on Saturdays and are open only for dinner that day. Their regular hours are Wednesday-Friday 11am-9pm and Saturday 5pm-9pm.

Their new location is 211 N Walnut Street, near Sixth Street in downtown Bloomington, Indiana.
