Arts and the Economy

A look at Arts and the Economy: that’s what’s ahead on Artworks.

It’s a New Year and things are looking up. The recession seems to be coming to an end. The stock market is slowly recovering and unemployment rate is slowly receding, but it’s been a bumpy road these last couple of years.

Back in the fall we talked to some local artists, gallery owners and organizers to try find out how they were being affected and what they were doing to turn things around or just break even. We asked the question, “can the arts act as a stimulus?”
