A Place For Film Video Special - Visiting the Lilly Library

James Mason in Lolita

In this video special, we are visiting the Lilly Library on the Indiana University campus. The Lilly holds a vast amount of special collections including papers from Orson Welles, John Ford, Peter Bogdanovich and many more.

We're visiting Craig Simpson, Manuscripts Archivist at the Lilly, who has curated quite a collection from the Orson Welles, John Ford and Anthony Harvey collections. The Welles and Ford collections both contain scripts and memos, while the Harvey collection mainly contains personal correspondence with filmmakers like Stanley Kubrick and actors like Katherine Hepburn.

We get a look at a lot of the pieces in these collections, and you can as well in this video episode. We also have an audio episode, but you'll want to see the video for the full effect.

Come back next week for more from the Lilly.
