A Place for Film: The Indiana Filmmakers Network

Episode 42 - The Indiana Filmmakers Network

On this week's episode, we sit down with Chris Eller and Sean Connolly to discuss the new Bloomington chapter of the Indiana Filmmakers Network. Chris has been on the podcast several times before, but this is Sean's first episode. Sean works with Chris on the 3D filmmaking class at IU, and also produces films.

In What Have You Seen Lately, Jason has seen a shockingly small number of movies, and Andy goes a bit overboard with three romantic comedies that he didn't find romantic at all. Andy also re-watched 2001: A Space Odyssey, and starts to discuss the flaws before realizing that none of them matter because seriously, it's 2001.

We also get into some zombie discussion as part of Chris' section, and we spend some time discussing the recent Netflix price increase.

Finally, we discuss the Indiana Filmmakers Network, a meeting of people working in film in Indiana. The Bloomington chapter debuts with a meeting on July 26th in the Innovation Center on 10th St, room 105. We also discuss the challenges of working on film in Indiana, and how to increase engagement for productions happening in the area.
