A Place For Film - Home Movie Day

Episode 53 - Discussing Home Movie Day

On this week's episode we invite James Paasche back to talk about Home Movie Day, a national movement to recognize home movies as an important part of American culture. People will be able to bring their home movies in to show at the Cinema, and there will be some films shown from the IU Archives.

We start off with What Have You Seen Lately, and get into an extended discussion of Moneyball, as well as the quality of the local theaters in Bloomington.

We also discuss upcoming films, and Jason reveals his secret trick to enjoying 'slow burn' movies.

Home Movie Day comes to the IU Cinema October 15th at 3pm. James tells us about the history along with some films to expect to see. However, even James has no idea what people will bring in, so show up with your movies, and enjoy the afternoon.
