Episode 150 - Discussing The Monomyth With Sean Connolly
On this week's episode, we're discussing the Monomyth with Telecom Ph.D candidate Sean Connolly. The Monomyth is sometimes referred to as the Hero's Journey, and is the dominant story telling method in Hollywood. Sean is studying this for his thesis and gives us a good overview in this episode.
We start with What Have You Seen Lately, Sarah is talking about Nosferatu at the IU Cinema, and Andy is covering the Dennis James event Aelita Queen of Mars, and What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?
We then start covering the Monomyth, Sean discusses the origins of this theory, how it applies to storytelling in film, and how he will work it into his thesis.
