A Place For Film - Discussing Fantastic Fest

A still from The Strange Colour Of Your Body's Tears.

Episode 147 - Discussing Fantastic Fest

On this week's episode, we're inviting SLIS grad student Sean Smalley to talk about his experience at Fantastic Fest. Fantastic Fest is a film festival in Austin, Texas that celebrates genre films like horror, action, sci-fi and other things that might be considered 'fantastic'.

We start with What Have You Seen Lately and Jason is talking about new films The Hunt and Prisoners. Andy and Sean are discussing the recent Orphan film symposium.

We then cover Fantastic Fest. Sean talks extensively about his experience going to the festival, the atmosphere and goes in-depth on several of the films. It's a great discussion and sounds like a great festival. Enjoy the episode!
