Episode 54 - Discussing The Dark Carnival Film Festival
On this week's episode, we invite David Pruett and Leya Taylor from the Dark Carnival Film Festival to chat about their event. Dark Carnival is a local Bloomington film festival in its fifth year that focuses on the horror genre. In addition to showing films, they host a costume contest, as well as other shows related to the festival.
We start off with What Have You Seen Lately. Jason talks about a Norwegian film called Troll Hunter, and Andy discusses a film called Gravity was Everywhere Back Then, a mixture of film, live music, and live narration that played at the Cinema.
We then have a long and interesting discussion about the Dark Carnival Film Festival: how it started, how it evolved, and what to expect at this years festival. David and Leya give us a preview of a few of the films that will be playing at the festival, and give us a rundown of all of the events associated with the fest.
The Dark Carnival Film Festival runs from October 21st-23rd, at the Buskirk-Chumley Theater in Bloomington, IN. Tickets can be purchased at their website.
