Many granola bar brands lead you to believe the bars are a variety of health food. Granola is whole grain, and that is good for you, but what about all the other stuff they use to hold the grains together?
Take a look...sodium, high fructose corn syrup, fat, not to mention a 300 calorie count in just one bar!
The same goes for organic, low-carb potato chips. When they take out the carbs they have to replace them with something else, like fat.
The point is that no matter how healthful the packaging makes a food seem, you've gotta flip it over and take a look at the ingredients. Often a zero carb product has more calories than the same product with carbs.
