Like many of you already know, when you get older your senses start to decline. Around the age of fifty, the bones and nerves of your inner ear start to break down. Plus, the nerve that transports sound signals to the brain can change with age, making it more difficult to interpret some sounds.
As you age some hearing loss is pretty much unavoidable. Same goes for sight, taste, and smell. Your eyes can develop cataracts. Smell sensors in the nose begin to deteriorate and taste buds start to lose some of their zing. Even nerve endings can become less sensitive to touch.
