Landing a spacecraft on a moving asteroid is no easy task. It's also not easy to illustrate the landing here on Earth.
The European Space Agency's (ESA) Rosetta spacecraft will soon need to land on Comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko. Because this mission is dangerous for the survival of the spacecraft, scientists at the ESA created a LEGO model of the event.
As it turns out, the model was a great success. ESA just announced the release of a LEGO high-fidelity Rosetta Lander Education Kit, which is based on the original LEGO model.
