Purdue University Fort Wayne is changing information for its Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

Purdue University-Fort Wayne has removed web information on its Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.
The office’s work was centered on increasing DEI on campus, creating partnerships and removing barriers for students, according to archived versions of its website. The office also reported statistics on campus diversity, offered information on DEI efforts and provided information on heritage months.
Purdue Fort Wayne spokespeople didn’t respond to requests for comment. It is unclear if the campus has closed the office or rebranded it.
Now, the campusprovides information on “Resources and Support for Everyone,” which include departments such as the Multicultural Center, the Q Center and the Women’s Center. Each page now includes the university’s nondiscrimination policy, which states “all persons have equal access” to Purdue programs “without regard to race, religion, color, sex, age, national origin or ancestry, genetic information, marital status, parental status, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, disability or status as a veteran.”
The campus removed the 2025 Women’s Conference from its website and event page. The conference, hosted by the DEI office and the campus Diversity Council, was scheduled for March 25.
Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita criticized the office on social media Feb. 24. He encouraged people to report Purdue-Fort Wayne to his “Eyes on Education” program.
.@usedgov has directed schools to cease diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives by Feb. 28 or risk losing federal funding. Will Purdue Fort Wayne comply or continue promoting DEI like they are right now? They have 4 more days.
The federal government advised public schools to remove DEI programming or risk losing funding on Feb. 14. Additional guidance shows department leaders believe some DEI programming could be discriminatory.
Purdue spokespeople said the university provides updates online related to executive orders, federal funding and related topics.
