Bloomington COVID-19 Testing Site Opens Tomorrow, Appointments Available Tuesday

Monroe County’s COVID-19 testing site in Bloomington will open tomorrow. 

First day appointments already are filled, according to a news release from the Monroe County Health Department. The site is currently taking appointments for Tuesday because it is closed Memorial Day. 

People over 65 years, have a chronic illness, or are otherwise considered high-risk can be tested for COVID-19 at the new site regardless of whether they display symptoms.

The site expects to be able to test 132 patients each day. Walk-up testing is not allowed.

Appointments may be made here, and those without internet access can call 888-634-1116. 

Testing hours will be Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. through 8 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. through 4p.m. 

People must bring a state ID and patient ID number obtained when registering. Tests will not carry a charge but insurance will be billed if patients are insured.
