Bloomington transplant Meg Lagodzki started painting landscapes after a dormant career in portraiture painting, when due to a botched surgery, she lost her voice for around a year. Now she paints among other things, the quarries in the Bloomington area. She focuses on reclaiming the term wilderness in order to use it to express the wild beauty of the landscape around us.
