  • The "Rakoczy March," Hungary's most famous patriotic tune, was used in music by Franz LisztHector Berlioz, and Johann Strauss II.
  • The lost manuscript to the Piano Sonata in A Major, K. 331 by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was found in 2014 in a library in Budapest, Hungary!
  • Composer Ernst von Dohnányi was the director of both the Budapest Philharmonic and the Budapest Academy of Music (now known as the Franz Liszt Academy).
