The story of Anna and the King of Siam has been consistently popular, despite questions about its accuracy.  Numerous facts have been questioned about Anna Leonowen's account of her own life.  The 1956 film musical starring Yul Brynner and Deborah Kerr was banned from being shown in Thailand on grounds of historical and cultural distortions.  Rogers and Hammerstein's musical version opened on Broadway in 1952 starring Gertrude Lawrence as Anna and Yul Brynner as the King.  Yul Brynner won both a Tony and an Oscar for his portrayal of the King, and the film also received five other Academy Awards. Rex Harrison, Alfred Drake, and Noel Coward also auditioned for the role of the King in the original Broadway production. But the bald-headed Yul Brynner won out! So why is this piece in a game about names?  Well, in 1949, Siam changed its name to Thailand!
