Scott Lowe has been working with spirits in one way or another for the past 30 years or so. He's currently the Indiana Sales Manager for Cardinal Spirits. This fall-inspired cocktail features Cardinal Spirits Dry Gin, local apple cider and cinnamon-infused honey.
1 ounce high-quality apple cider
1/2 ounce fresh lime juice
1/2 ounce local honey simple syrup
Apple slices, for garnish
Add all ingredients to a shaker, then and add plenty of ice. Shake for 20 seconds or until shaker is very cold. Strain into rocks glass filled with ice, and garnish with apple slices.
To make honey syrup: In a saucepan, heat a 1:1 ratio of water to local honey, stirring occasionally until dissolved. Allow to cool before using; store leftover syrup in the refrigerator.
