Food giant Unilever has dropped the lawsuit against start-up Just Mayo.
Unilever, maker of Hellmann's mayonnaise, sued Hampton Creek, owner of Just Mayo earlier this year, stating false advertising over the term "mayo" since their product did not contain eggs.
Just Mayo pointed out they did not call their condiment "mayonnaise" for that reason.
Unilever conceded, stating Just Mayo can take the issue to industry groups and regulators.
After the announcement of the lawsuit, Hellmann's changed the language of some of their products from "mayonnaise" to "mayonnaise dressing."
