Fireplace Cooking, Farmworker Housing, Scotch+Welsh Rarebit

This is not the quickest cooking method. This is more of a day around the fireplace where you're cracking walnuts, and chatting and eating cheeses, and the ducks slowly cook over the fire.

We're with Daniel Orr at a friend's house in Columbus, Indiana, where he's preparing a fireplace feast. Ducks and pumpkins and mushrooms all cooked over an open fire.

Harvest Public Media asks why a government system designed to help get payments out to farmers hasn't lived up to expectations.

We then go inside the rundown structures immigrant farmworkers call home during the harvest season.

Welsh rarebit is our snack in the second half today. Think of it like gourmet Cheez Whiz, or fancy fondue

And, a spirits lesson with whiskey aficionado Brad Dunn to help you give the best gifts this holiday season.
