Apple Tree Yard

Adapted from the best-selling novel, this provocative mini-series tells the story of a respected female scientist, played by acclaimed actor Emily Watson, and the single impulsive act that leads to her standing trial for murder. Yvonne Carmichael lived a contented suburban life until her world spiraled into chaos after a chance encounter leads to a passionate affair with a charismatic stranger. Despite all her careful plans to keep her home life and career safe and separate from her affair, fantasy and reality soon begin to overlap and everything she values is put at risk.

Making of a Lady

Based on the novel by celebrated author Frances Hodgson Burnett, Making of a Lady tells story of the educated but penniless Emily. During her duties as a lady’s companion, she meets her employer’s wealthy widower nephew, Lord James Walderhurst. Accepting his practical if unromantic marriage proposal, Emily finds solace in the company of Walderhurst’s nephew Alec Osborn and his glamorous wife Hester. Left alone with the couple on an isolated country estate, she increasingly comes under their control. Emily begins to fear for her life. Will Walderhurst return in time to save her?

What to Do When Someone Dies

School teacher Ellie Manning is happily married to Greg, with whom she is eager to start a new family. But Ellie's future is shattered one evening when the police arrive to inform her that Greg has been killed in a horrific car accident, along with an unknown female passenger. Was Greg having an affair? Who was the unknown woman? As Ellie digs deeper, she becomes convinced the crash was no accident, but her obsession with discovering the truth leads those around her to question her emotional state. Meanwhile, Ellie, now unable to trust even her closest friends, is becoming suspicious of everyone, including herself.

Wide Sargasso Sea

Adapted from Jean Rhys' 1966 award-winning novel, Wide Sargasso Sea is a prequel to Charlotte Bronte's classic novel Jane Eyre. Set in lush 19th century Jamaica, it is the story of the relationship between a passionate Creole heiress, Antoinette, and a brooding Englishman, Edward Rochester. Wide Sargasso Sea examines the power of relationships between men and women and explores the themes of race, Caribbean history, and assimilation—all while giving voice and identity to “the mad woman in the attic.”

The Vanishing, Season 1

In a small German town near the Czech border, Janine's empty car is found the morning after she celebrated her 20th birthday.  While all evidence indicates that Janine secretly wanted to leave the backcountry, her mother, Michelle, becomes increasingly convinced that there's something amiss. As her desperation mounts, Michelle’s search for her daughter uncovers a dark web of lies and secrets that could change the town forever.

The Wall, Season 1

Upon arriving in Fermont, a small mining town on the Labrador border, detective Celine Trudeau discovers "The Wall" – an immense structure that protects the inhabitants from the icy Arctic wind. During one Quebec winter, this place of refuge becomes a crime scene when the body of a young dancer is found. The whole city is in turmoil, and everyone is under suspicion.
