ArtsWeek 2011: ArtsTeach

This week we'll explore Indiana University and the City of Bloomington's 27th Annual Artsweek and it's theme "ArtsTeach."

This week on Artworks:

We’ll preview several of the events making up this year’s Artsweek from Indiana University and the City of Bloomington, and we’ll learn about the history and mission of the program now in its 27th year.

This year’s theme for Artsweek is ArtsTeach, highlighting the important interactions between the arts and education.

We’ll see how a local jazz musician engages a group of 5th graders with Indiana’s jazz heritage.

Edgewood High School students team up with artist Joe LaMantia in the creation of a new work installed at a local sports complex.

And George Walker will speak with two of the cast members in the upcoming production of Romeo and Juliet from the Cardinal Stage Company.
