This week on Artworks, composer Paul SanGregory has taken the skill he learned as a student of composition at the Jacobs School of Music and turned his attention to the burgeoning field of contemporary Chinese artsong. WFIU’s Adam Schwartz speaks with SanGregory from his home in Taiwan.
And later in the program, the halls of the Jacobs School of Music aren’t silent for long after the semester ends. It’s quickly filled with the sounds of dozens of young musicians taking part in this year’s Summer String Academy. We’ll hear more about the program and Violin Virtuosi’s upcoming tour to Europe.
