Reader’s Radar
is a half-hour journey into the best new short prose fiction being published in literary magazines around Indiana. Producer/host Shayne Laughter showcases short stories from current issues of literary journals like Sycamore Review, Driftless, and Flying Island, along with brief interviews of journal editors about each publication’s history, editing process, mission, and how live community events such as readings integrate the publication into their local civic life.
Each editor recommends a story from their current issue as something truly special. That story gets a dynamic reading by host Shayne Laughter.

Shayne Laughter is a broadcast journalist, fiction writer, and voice talent who produces arts programs for WFIU. She has been a news reporter, news anchor, and live spot interviewer for WFHB Community Radio. The WFHB show Books Unbound featured Shayne reading novels and short stories for WFHB listeners. She is an award-winning fiction writer, published in print and online literary journals.
