“We really seek to take on every challenge that poverty brings to us and to our community…” -Rev. Forrest Gilmore, Executive Director

The Shalom Community Center provides help to individuals experiencing poverty and homelessness. Case workers assess the needs of visitors and direct them to the resources they need. Services include the provision of hygienic resources to assistance with job searches.

“It starts with housing, and the services that follow help people do better,” says Reverend Forrest Gilmore

The Shalom Community Center is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. in downtown Bloomington.
