Disabled Veteran Wish Foundation of Indiana

The Disabled Veterans Wish Foundation of Indiana (DVWF) is a non-profit that provides disable and terminally ill veterans with the opportunity of a wish. The goal of the DVWF is to grant wishes to veterans of Indiana and to show them gratitude for their service.

“They make a wish and we try to fulfill it,” says spokesperson Bob Hughes. “One gentleman is eighty-three years old. He tried five organizations, nobody could put a roof on for him. We put a roof on for him.”

Since 2011, the organization has granted forty-three wishes.

In addition to granting wishes, the DVWF helps veterans with paper work so they can obtain proper medical care through the Veterans Administration.
