Camp Kesem is a free summer camp open to all children, ages 6-16, in the southern and central Indiana areas who have a parent who has or had cancer. The camp is envisioned, developed, and organized by students at Indiana University. Its purpose is to build a supportive community for families coping with cancer by creating a week of camp. Camp Kesem also aims to empower students to participate in community service by providing leadership positions, organizational roles, and opportunities to work directly or indirectly with children who have/had a parent with cancer.
