Bosma Enterprises

Bosma Enterprises provides life skills instruction for people who have experienced a recent loss of vision.

Bosma Enterprises is dedicated to empowering people who are blind or visually impaired by creating opportunities to achieve each individual’s employment, economic, social, and self-determination goals.

People who experience vision loss later in life must learn new skills in order to cook, manage their clothing, access transportation, read, and continue with hobbies, such as sewing.  Bosma instructors work with people age 55 and older to learn these skills and to help them handle partial and total vision loss both practically and emotionally.

In-home instruction is a service available to anyone over the age of 55, with no income eligibility requirements.  Bosma works throughout South-Central Indiana.

In addition to their community-based instruction services, Bosma Enterprises has a Community Employment Placement Program, and offers instruction to people living in residential facilities. Bosma also hosts classes such as their Manual Skills class, which enhances dexterity through woodworking and home repair instruction.
