Area 10 Agency On Aging: Caring Companions Program

Caring Companions volunteers may help care for pets, prepare meals, garden, light housekeeping, and more.

Caring Companions can make a difference by providing support to help seniors achieve their goals of living safely at home and connecting with the community. —Jaime Sweany, Caring Companions Coordinator

Area 10 Agency on Aging provides a wide variety of services to seniors and persons with disabilities, including the Caring Companions program.

Caring Companions matches volunteers with seniors who need assistance with small tasks. Volunteers may help care for pets, prepare meals, garden, stop by for a regular visit, and more.

Volunteers choose the services they wish to offer, and Caring Companions matches the needs of senior citizens with the appropriate volunteer. The goal is to enable seniors to live healthy, happy lives and to remain independent for as long as possible.
