StateImpact Indiana’s segment during WTIU’s Indiana Newsdesk on Friday, November 8.

Even though her case against the State Board of Education was tossed out of a Marion County court last week, state superintendent Glenda Ritz says she still wants resolution to her dispute with Indiana’s top education panel.

“This case was filed because I believe the board took illegal action outside of the public arena, and that needed to be stopped,” Ritz told reporters after learning of her lawsuit’s dismissal Friday afternoon, repeating a charge board members have categorically denied.

On WTIU’s Indiana Newsdesk last Friday, we recapped the latest developments in the case, along with a few of the big education stories from the week that was.

(You’ll notice we don’t mention the complaint with Indiana’s Public Access Counselor filed late Friday — we got word of that after we taped the segment.)
