We're Hosting A Panel Discussion On The Common Core — And Want You To Come
Indiana and 45 other states in whole or in part have adopted the Common Core, a set of nationally-crafted academic standards.
For the last several weeks we’ve been taking your questions about the Common Core — now we hope you’ll join us for a panel discussion about the new standards.
It’s happening at noon on Friday, April 5 at WFYI in Indianapolis, 1630 N. Meridan. St. Panelists include:
- Glenda Ritz, Superintendent of Public Instruction
- Derek Redelman, Indiana Chamber of Commerce
- Lisa Froderman, Purposeful Curriculum Planning
Kyle and I will be moderating the discussion. Margaret Low Smith, NPR’s senior vice president of news, will also attend.
UPDATE, 2:45 p.m., April 3: We cannot accept any more RSVP’s as we’ve filled our space to capacity. Thank you so much for your interest and we apologize to those who really wanted to attend. We encourage you to keep your questions about the nationally crafted standards coming — we’ve seen some good ones so far on our Core Questions page.
