Later School Day Start Tries To Match Teen Sleep Patterns

A Muncie-area school district is making an effort to match its schedule to those of late-sleeping teens by winding back the school day clock an hour.

“Hundreds of Delta middle and high school students slept in on Monday, the first day of school. And that’s a good thing. The two secondary schools started the year off with a new schedule, one that had students arriving at school at 8:40 a.m., almost an hour later than last year.”
