IU Ranks At #3 In "The Decade's Hottest Schools"

The Daily Beast ranks Indiana University in some lofty company, behind only USC and Vanderbilt in its rankings of the “Hottest” schools of the 2000’s. The gallery didn’t explain its ranking system.

Whereas Wisconsin and Michigan dominated the 1990s, Indiana University is hands-down the “It” state school of the aughts. In 2008, the school had 500 more students accept admissions offers than it had planned, and about 40 percent of Hoosiers—the largest percentage in the Big 10—now hail from out-of-state.
